International Sales Representative

SOWISO helps university educators with the teaching of mathematics to non-mathematics majors. Our online learning and testing environment helps countless teachers and students in higher education realize their potential. Since our establishment in 2010, we have supported tens of thousands of students in The Netherlands, and we have spent the last few years focussing on scaling internationally.

Further international growth is an important aspect for our company. SOWISO is therefore looking for a sales professional who will help us with international expansion.

Your main focus will be on international business development and supporting various sales campaigns. You will also be taking an active role driving lead qualification, initial outreach efforts and lead nurturing.

You will be joining a growing commercial team consiting of various sales and marketing roles.


Your role will consist of…

  • Scaling our international sales efforts, including ideating new avenues of opportunity
  • Setting and achieving international sales targets
  • Driving the lead generation process
  • Reaching out to leads and responding to their inquiries
  • Optionally: Account management & customer success

Apart from the above responsibilities, you will also work closely with your marketing colleagues to ensure that our marketing and sales efforts are properly aligned. This will involve participating in ideation sessions regarding marketing and branding strategies as well as giving feedback on existing campaigns. You will also be working closely with our colleagues who are responsible for customer success management and customer support.


We are looking for someone who…

  • Has experience with international sales
  • Is fluent in written and spoken English
  • Is available for 32-40 hours per week (fewer hours per week can be discussed)
  • Is able to be at our Amsterdam office at least 2 days a week (post-COVID-19)
  • Has a valid work permit or is an EU citizen


Bonus points if you…

  • Have experience selling a SaaS tool to the higher education market
  • Speak Dutch, French, Spanish and/or German fluently
  • Have an affinity with mathematics and/or education
  • Know your way around a Nintendo GameCube ;)
